Still Illiterate

Even though I have been studying and going to schools and college from the time I started to remember, there has always been new things to experience and learn. There are still more to achieve from my education. Actually I believe that no matter how much an individual studies, there will still be another new things out there in the world. As for my classes, English 101 has helped me understand my writing skills from both the positive and negative sides. My Psychology class is the most interesting class I have taken in my whole life and there I just learn so many new things about Human Beings and the details about our behaviors. Lastly my Chemistry class is my favorite class because I love Maths and solving problems.

Literacy

The Information Revolution Will Transform Education written by Paul A. Winters was one of the articles we had to read in order to do Essay #2. The article is about how technology can improve the education system as people will learn through more than one source. Even though the revolution will have an impact by creating a digital divide between people who can afford such education and those who cannot. It is not only bringing technologic education into the system but also the way students are taught and the entire atmosphere where students will have the ability not only to understand but to analyze, discuss, share opinions and work together. The role of the students and the teachers will change.

My literacy moment.

It is clear in my mind of how I learned to ride a bike. It was during the end of my fourth grade that my parents decided to gift me a bike for getting good grades that year. It was a red color, two wheel bike and I remember getting both excited and nervous. Immediately after setting my hands on it, I asked my papa if I could ride it without any help and he looked at me and agreed but told me to be careful. It is true that I fell over and over and hurt my knees while learning to ride it but at the end of that same day I could ride it perfectly. At that point I knew that if I tried and worked hard and focused anything was possible and not to get disappointed when I failed.
